  • Objective 

    To observe and compare the clinical effects of two different surgical methods on patients with glaucoma and cataract.

    Methods 

    A total of 300 patients with glaucoma combined with cataract underwent surgical treatment were selected as the study objects, and randomly divided into observation group (n=150) and control group (n=150). The observation group received phacoemulsification combined with intraocular lens implantation and goniosynechialysis under atrial angle lens, while the control group received phacoemulsification combined with intraocular lens implantation and complex trabeculectomy. The parameters of preoperative and postoperative ultrasound biological microscopy (UBM) were analyzed in the two groups. The complication rate and recurrence rate of the two groups were compared.

    Results 

    The results of UBM parameter analysis showed that the cure rate of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group (P < 0.05). The complication rate of the observation group was 2.67%(4/150), which was significantly lower than 13.33%(20/150) of the control group (P < 0.05). The recurrence rate of the observation group was 6.67%(10/150), which was significantly lower than 20.00%(30/150) of the control group (P < 0.05).

    Conclusion 

    Phacoemulsification combined with intraocular lens implantation and goniosynechialysis under atrial angle lens are safer, and patients have less surgical trauma, fewer complications and better recovery compared with the other surgery.
