  • Objective To observe the efficacy of minimally invasive tooth extraction in treatment of mandibular lower impacted wisdom tooth. Methods A total of 80 patients with mandibular lower impacted wisdom tooth were selected and divided into control group and observation group according to random number table method, with 40 cases in each group. The control group was given traditional method of chiseling bone and splitting dental crown method, and the observation group was treated with minimally invasive tooth extraction. The condition of surgery and pain degree were compared between two groups. Results The operative time of the observation group was significantly shorter than that of the control group, and the intraoperative blood loss was significantly less than that of the control group(P<0.05). Visual analogue scale(VAS)scores at 1 day and 3 days after surgery in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusion Minimally invasive tooth extraction in treatment of mandibular lower impacted wisdom tooth can shorten operation time and reduce blood loss, and relieve postoperative pain degree.
