  • ABSTRACT:Objective To study nursing method of venous indwelling needle combined with needleless closed infusion joint in AIDS patients.Methods A total of 50 AIDS patients,according to the principle of random grouping,were divided into control group and experimental group.The control group adopted indwelling needle puncture method while the experimental group used venous indwelling needle combined with needleless closed infusion joint,the pertinence nursing intervention was strengthened in the process.Indwelling time,the incident rate of adverse transfusion events (blood return,blocking pipe and phlebitis),patients′satisfaction were observed.Results Appli-cation time of the experimental group was significantly higher than that in the control group on aver-age,the incident rate of adverse transfusion events was significantly lower than that in the control group,patients′satisfaction was significantly higher than that in the control group,which revealed statistically significant difference(P <0.05).Conclusion Intravenous indwelling needle combined with needleless closed infusion joint is characterized by easily application,strong operability and less adverse reaction.So the therapy can effectively prevent occupational exposure of medical staff and is worthy of application in clinic.
