Effect comparison between Gamma3 nail and PFNA in the treatment of the elderly patients with unstable intertrochanteric fractures

  • Objective To observe and compare the efficacy of Gamma3 nail and PFNA in the treatment of the elderly patients with unstable intertrochanteric fractures.Methods 100 elderly patients with unstable intertrochanteric fractures were selected as the research objects.The patients were treated with Gamma 3 nail or PFNA nail for internal fixation treatment,and they were divided into the Gamma 3 nail group (n =43)and the PFNA group (n =57)according to the treatment methods.The operation time,intraoperative volume of bleeding were recorded and compared.Re-sults Ratio of the patients with excellent or good curative effects of the two groups were 93% and 94.7% respectively.The operation time and the amount of intraoperative bleeding of the patients in the Gamma3 nail group were significantly higher than those of the PFNA group (P <0.05).Con-clusion The curative effects of Gamma3 nail and PFNA internal fixation in the treatment of the el-derly patients with unstable intertrochanteric fractures are equally pretty.Both of them are the ideal methods of.Meanwhile,the operation trauma of PFNA internal fixation to patients is relatively smaller.
