Abstract:
Objective To observe effect of supplemented Chaihu Guizhi Longgu Muli Decoction in treatment of insomnia induced by anxiety in perimenopausal period.
Methods A total of 300 female perimenopausal patients with insomnia induced by anxiety were selected as research objects. According to random number table method, they were divided into study group and control group, with 150 cases in each group. The control group was given conventional treatment, and the study group was treated with supplemented Chaihu Guizhi Longgu Muli Decoction. Kupperman Menopausal Index(Kupperman)score, traditional Chinese medicine symptom score, Self-rating Anxiety Scale(SAS)score, Self-rating Depression Scale(SDS)score, Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)score, falling asleep time, sleep duration before and after treatment as well as treatment effect were compared and recorded.
Results The total effective rate of the study group was significantly higher than that of the control group(
P<0.05). After treatment, Kupperman score, traditional Chinese medicine symptom, SAS and SDS scores of the two groups were significantly declined, and were significantly lower in study group than those of the control group(
P<0.05). Before treatment, there were no significant differences in PSQI score, falling asleep time, sleep duration between the two groups(
P>0.05). After treatment, the PSQI score was lower, and falling asleep time was significantly shorter, and sleep - time was significantly longer than that of the control group(
P<0.05).
Conclusion Chaihu Guizhi Longgu Muli Decoction has a remarkable effect in perimenopausal women with anxiety induced insomnia, which can effectively improve the sleep quality, depression and anxiety, shorten the falling asleep time and prolong sleep duration.
