Abstract:
Objective To explore the effect of individualized nutritional support combined with psychological counseling for patients with stroke in Intensive Care Unit(ICU).
Methods A total of 102 patients with stroke in ICU were selected and randomly divided into observation group and control group, with 51 cases in each group. Control group was given routine nursing intervention, while observation group was given individualized nutrition support combined with psychological counseling on the basis of control group. The nutritional status, psychological resilience and hope level before treatment and 3 weeks after the intervention were compared between two groups, and the incidence of intervention-related adverse events was recorded.
Results After intervention, the score of nutritional status in both groups was significantly higher than that before intervention, and the observation group was significantly higher than the control group(
P<0.05). After intervention, the scores of dimensions of psychological resilience(such as tenacity, optimism and self-improvement)and the total score, the scores of dimensions of hope level(such as positive attitude, positive action and intimate relationship)and the total score in both groups were significantly higher than those before intervention(
P<0.05), and those scores in the observation group were significantly higher than the control group(
P<0.05). The total incidence of adverse events in the observation group was 21.6%, which was significantly lower than 62.7% in the control group(
P<0.05).
Conclusion Individualized nutritional support combined with psychological counseling can improve the psychological resilience and nutritional status of patients with stroke in ICU, and reduce the incidence of related adverse events.
